What does accessibility cost?
The number you see online means little as long as you do not know which service sits behind it. This overview therefore separates the four service types that are regularly mixed up.
Four service types, four prices
1. Audit
An audit examines your website and delivers a finding: checked pages, concrete violations, severities and recommendations. The error is thereby described.
Result: You know what has to be done. The implementation has not happened yet.
2. Technical remediation
The remediation corrects the barriers found in the code. This is the service of the operator FOXX AI, from ab 389 € net.
Result: The barriers are removed, not merely described.
3. Monitoring
A monthly check keeps accessibility on track after changes to the site. That makes sense when new content or components are introduced frequently.
Result: New barriers are detected early, before customers find them.
4. Widget
An overlay visibly improves individual operating problems. It does not remove structural barriers: missing labels in the code, elements that are unreachable in the focus flow and form errors remain.
Result: Visible improvement, structural gap remains.
What drives the price
Three factors decide the effort, not the number of reported errors:
- The technical basis. A standard website is corrected differently than a heavily customised system with an individual theme and extensions.
- The page types affected. A correction in a simple contact form is something else than an accessible checkout across several steps.
- The checking effort. Whether a re-check is part of the package changes the effort noticeably.
